Finally, some intensive care for Central NY’s beleaguered youths with no place to go

Syracuse, NY – Upstate University Hospital is opening a small but heavily staffed facility for kids with severe and sometimes dangerous behaviors who have no place to go for care.
The 11-bed unit is for kids 5 to 17 with conditions such as autism or cerebral palsy, whose anger or outbursts can be too much for family or traditional hospital settings to manage.
